I cannot get the mouse to leave the window

I have a strange problem with Virtual PC 2004. Everytime I install a
new virtual PC I cant get the mouse out of the window. Documentation
only talks about a HOST key. I dont knwo which key this should be, I
tried a lot of different combinations. The only solution I found is to
set the screen saver on the host to 3 minutes. When the screen saver
starts I can leave the window. Strange, isnt'it?

A few more specs:

Host - Windows XP Pro
Guest - Windows XP Pro

After I install the additions everything is fine, but what can I do
during windows setup? What will happen, if I try to install a linux
distro? Do I have to shutdown my host to leave the guest? I think, I'm
missing a small thing like CTRL ALT on Vmware. Can some enlighten me
please?

Thanks, Flark
