HELP!!! - Windows Delayed Write Failure

Hi all... I am truly desperate here now....

I have an issue where ONE virtual machine only is giving repeated Delayed
Write Failures.

Host Machine is W2K3 Server Std, with Virtual Server 2005 SE (R2). There are
4 Virtual Machines running (All running 2K3 Svr), but only one (the
CRM/Exchange machine) that is giving the error.

This error only started about midnight Saturday - AFTER the machine had been
running for a few weeks. I had just moved several Mailboxes to this machine,
now NOBOBDY has e-mail.

The folder it is trying to write to is the SYSVOL folder on the C drive.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?????

1) 102 GB free on Host Drive

Robert,

This file is definately NOT locked. I can change settings and run some
programes the write to the "hard disK", and the changes are there if I
restart the machine.

I am truly desperate now!

What's the IO load on the host drive?

Can you try reinstalling the VM additions?

Are you using SCSI or IDE inside the virtual machine? Also - if this is
a critical problem I advise that you should contact Microsoft Product
Support.
