remote control problems

Message:

following the steps to install VM additions:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/virtualserver/2005/proddocs/vs_operate_ht_installVMA.mspx

at step 4 - click remote control - I get this error message:

Virtual Machine Remote Control (VMRC) Server Properties

Virtual Machine Remote Control (VMRC) server must be enabled before you
can remotely control a virtual machine with the ActiveX VMRC control or
through the Virtual Machine Remote Control client.

When I try to start the VMRC client from the start menu I am prompted
for the full path to the something or other. This cant be this hard.
I must have taken the wrong turn somewhere.

This is all on one system. WinXP is the host. VS 2005 downloaded
yesterday. Would like to run Linux as a guest.

When I start Virtual Server from the start menu I only option that
makes sense is the VM admin website. I just read somewhere that I dont
need that if I am running everything from one PC. But I dont see any
other options.

thanks,

-Steve
