I have my virutal server, the server is up, I can term serv into the virutal
server windows 2003 OS, however, it takes about 10 min before the virutal
server service says, STARTED, it just stay as starting for a long time. the
DNS server is pointed at an off-site AD server, as one of the virutals is an
AD server.

Any suggestions.

Had this with a server 2003 VM that had incorrect DNS settings. Users
could access immdediatly but any type of interactive logon would take
10 mins. Suggest you check that the remote DNS server actually exists
and responds.
