Virtual Server 2005 R2 and Mandriva 2006

i have installed VS 2005 R2, and i Tried to install The Mandriva 2006
Distribution as a guest system. I choose these hardware Properties for its
machine (Mandriva's Machine):
Memory:196 MB
Hard Disk: Fixed size of 4GB
2 CDs drives: G which contain the iso file of Mandriva on primary channel(1)
G which is my physical CDROM drive on secondary channel(0)
Network Adapter
2 COM port and 1 LPT port not attached (by default)
When i'm running this machine in VS, it brings me this error message: "Fatal
error initialization" and when i click on ok button, it try to reboot/halt
the system (Mandriva).
the VS 2005 R2 is installed on Windows XP prof and i have 512MB of RAM, 20GB
for all Virtual disks (i have 7.46GB free)

Did you use SCSI disks? If so - try IDE disk.
Worked fine for me(another Linux distri)...

The only problem we've spotted running Linux so far is the clock getting

Mandriva used to be known as Mandrake Linux and if I remember correctly
it starts a copy of X on boot to run the graphical installer. With the
VS only emulating S3 Trio 64 Video (8Mb) X might have trouble starting.
If you want to run that version check to see if there is a console
install mode at boot or try a different distribution. Linux does work in
VS 2005 R2 .... sort of.
