Virtual Server 2005 testingSource: microsoft.public.virtualserver Sent: 02/09/2006 From: "BillB" <(email address - cut out)> Message:Have this installed on a Toshiba laptop 2 GB of Ram 2GHZ CPU on XP Pro SP2
Building 3 virtual machines giving them 512MB of RAM, No CD, 1 NIC, 1
Dynamic 4GB HD, NO SCSI device, No Floppy, 2 COM ports, 1 LPT, and Virtual
machine additions 13.206
With only 1 running VS reacts very slowly at times
For instance it took me 18 minutes to start - rename virt server - reboot
for name to take effect.
Is there a set of steps to follow to trouble shoot sluggish response from
Virt server
My screens sometimes take solid minutes to move from screen to screen to
open explorer, server properties, or attempt to do a restart.
Thanks for your help in advance,
BillB

Disable the power management, probably in the BIOS for best

Doesn't really affect your original question.
do you want a VM to have access to 90 or 100% of the CPU?
