How can I get Computer Name of a Virtual Machine?

I am trying to get Computer Name of a virtual machine programmatically
through Virtual Server COM API. But it seems impossible. The COM API provides
a Name property on IVMVirtualMachine interface, but it is the name that you
assigned to Virtual Machine, not the name of Computer that you assigned
through My Computer Property when you are inside Virtual Machine. So you may
assign a Virtual Machine with name like "VM1" through Virtual Server Admin
web interface, and when you login to that virtual machine, you can actually
give it a name like "Firebird" by right click My Computer, select Properties,
and under Computer Name tab. This is the name I want to retrieve through COM
API.
Any idea?

Guest OS properties such as OS name can be obtained from WMI remotely if

published from the inside out. The Guest does know the host's name
programmatically (it's in the Guest's registry) so a Guest can connect
to a host share and write anything like its OS Name into a text file by
its vm name, e.g.

\\hostname\share\VM1.txt which would contain OS Name.

This assumes the Guest has connectivity and access to the host over
Window Sharing (CIFS). There are other publishing possibilities without
a network connection.
