Help with Virtual Machine Network Services

Source: microsoft.public.virtualserver
Sent: 02/06/2006
From: Ryan Sullivan
Message:

I am having great difficulties getting Virtual Server to link to my physical
network adapters. I have read several prior posts/fixes, and none of them
have worked. Below is what I have tried:

- Uncheck/Recheck Virtual Machine network Services on my ethernet adapter
- Uninstalled/Reinstalled Virtual Server 2005 R2
- Uninstalled Virtual Server 2005 R2 + all config files and registry
entries, then reinstalled fresh after a reboot

I still get the error of "Virtual Server could not open its emulated
Ethernet switch driver. To fix this problem, re-enable the Virtual Server
Emulated Ethernet Switch service on one or more Ethernet adapters or
reinstall Virtual Server." and am unable to see my physical network adapter
in Virtual Server.

Some additional background info.... I previously had Virtual PC 2004
installed, followed by VPC 2004 SP1, which has all been uninstalled prior to
troubleshooting this issue.

Any Ideas?
