USB problem?

Source: microsoft.public.virtualserver

Message:

I have narrowed down a problem that seems to be caused by VS2005 R2, and I
am hoping someone has an idea how to narrow it down (or what the problem
is).

I have VS2005 R2 running, and ActiveSync 4.1 for my phone, on the same
computer. If I run a Guest OS (for example I confirmed this with just a
vanilla XP Guest OS), then when I connect my phone the USB connect doesn't
even happen, much less Active Sync seeing it. It's like the running of a
Guest OS hoses up the USB connection. If I log off and on, it's fine.

I don't even see any USB config stuff, does anyone have a clue why this
might be happening?

Thanks
