Virtual Machine Performance

Hi to all!

I have a big problem which I don't know how to resolve at the moment. The
host server is an IBM x445 8870-EX which has four phisical processors and 16
Gbyte RAM. It is connected through fibre channel to a total storage unit IBM
DS4300. The host operating system is Windows 2003 Enterprise edition with
SP1. I've installed Virtual Server 2005 R2 and created only 1 virtual machine
at the moment. The guest OS is Windows 2003 Std SP1 italian edition with
terminal services. I can't undertand why I'm experiencing very slow
performance on this virtual machine. Every operation in the virtual machine
uses many CPU resources, like the processor was a pentium II. Physical
processors on the host computer are Xeon 3 Ghz with Hyper Threading enable.
The host operating sistem sees 8 logical processors.
Could someone help me analizy this problem to resolve this issue?
Thanks to all!

Matteo
