VS Admin Website - Authentication Problems

New problem after upgrading from VS 2005 to R2. I have tried completely
un-installing Virtual Server, rebooting and reinstalling but the problem
remains.

After logging in to the Admin website, every time I click on a machine to
view, I am prompted for credentials. I made the FQDN of the machine a Trusted
Site which solved the problem.

New problem: When the Admin site is in the Trusted Sites list, whenever I
launch the VS Admin website it throws a 500 error. Turning off friendly
messages, the only error shown is "The parameter is incorrect."

Remove from trusted sites, Admin site works fine again, but I am back to
having to authenticate when trying to view any of the guests.

This happened on all 3 of the servers I have upgraded so far, so we have put
R2 on hold this issue is resolved.

Any ideas or useful links? I googled for several hours (literally) and didn't
find anything that helped.

Removing from Trusted/Intranet allows normal login, BUT THEN I have to enter
credentials each and every time I click to view a guest, even if I just

I also went to DCOM Config -> Virtual Server -> Properties and made sure the
local administrators group has full Launch and Activation permissions for
local and remote. (as was suggested on someone's blog)

I believe the issue is with integrated authentication, because if I allow
Anonymous Users access on the admin webstie, AND put it in either trusted
sites or Intranet, the credentials issue goes away... but that is obviously
NOT a workable solution because anyone can connect without a password.

OK, I got the same. :)
I didn't access to VS Admin Site from computer with VS until
yesterday. I connect to the site from my workstation without
troubles.

Now I have not any advice to help with your problem except
to configure SSL.

P.S. Please, let me know if you fix this error.
