I have a dual core pentium IV 3.0 with 4 gig ram , Windows xp 32 bit as the
host operating system. the asus p5n32-sli motherboard with 2 ethernet slots.
The host computer can get on the internet and everything works ok.
1. First I installed the virtual server 2005 r2 and everyting seemed to
work ok. I had to install IIS before it would install.
2. After installing I think xp home, I never could get the master status
on the screen, just a screen with the installed virtual machines.
3. After deleting the folder with the virtual machine, and removing the sr2
and installing the original virtual server 2005. My shortcut from IE
wouldn't ever pull up, just page not found.
4. Tried uninstalling and re-installing multiple times to no avail.
5. Uninstalled virtual server 2005 and uninstalled IIS, then re-installed
IIS and virtual server 2005 and everything seemed to work ok.
6. Started installing operating system, but the internet access from the
virtual machine didn't work. Went back and enabled the 2nd ethernet port
(not hooked to anything), then the internet starting working on the virtual
machines.
7. Installed xp home, 2000, me, and copied xppro32 from another machine and
added it. Downloaded all the updates and service packs. ALL WAS FINE
FINALLY AS OF LAST NIGHT
8. Left computer on all night like I ususally do.
9. This moring I came in to add windows 98 and I noticed that the network
adapter said not connected, but though I would install the operating system
and come back and do that later. After adding windows 98, I tried to enable
the network adapter, but there was no choices. Then I noticed that in all
the previous virtual machines that I added the day before, the network
adapter said "not connected" and nothing was available to add.
10. EVERYTING WAS WORKING SO GOOD LAST NIGHT -- WHAT HAPPENED TO THE
VIRTUAL NETWORK ADAPTERS?

PS: I removed virtual server 2005 and added virtual server 2005 r2, but no
difference
