Is it useful to activate HT on Virtual Server 2005 R2? I heard that R2 has a
better support for hyper threading. As I remember on Virtual Server 2005 it
was recommended to deactivate it.

Tom's hardware has a good (and long) article on hyperthreading in AMD v.
Intel but he uses VMware not R2. You may want to read it here
