VS 2005 R2 / Dual Core System / Exchange 2000

Message:

I've got a few questions, hopefully all the answers are nice and
simple:

1) If I have a dual proc, dual core, hyperthreaded system, windows will
in theory will show 8 procs. Since this is only 2 physical processors,
Virtual Server 2005 R2 Standard edition should suffice, correct?

2) If #1 is correct, in my logic I could "safely" add 7 virtual
machines, allowing one to each have their own virtual processor leaving
1 for the host OS to do its thing... will virtual server manage /
assign all of those virtual procs optimally such? I want to make sure
that all of these puppies will get used ... or should I disable
hyperthreading?

3) Will exchange 2000 run on Windows 2000 virtualized? I know it isn't
supported, but will it work in a lab environment for functionality
sake?

4) If I plan on having 7 virtual machines on a single phyiscal box
(with 8GB of RAM ... in theory 1GB to each VM and 1GB for the host),
and these machines are being used for functional testing, not
performance, should I be concerned with using RAID-1 on 10k SCSI? Do I
really NEED RAID-10?

Thanks for your time and assistance,
Howie
