Let's say I have created a Virtual Disk of 1GB.
How can i increasse the size of this Virtual Disk without recreating it ?

The way we do it is the same as you'd do it on a standard machine.

Create a 2nd VHD of larger size, assign it to the VM, then mount a floppy
image of Symantec Ghost and boot to floppy. Ghost the original disk onto the
new disk. Once the ghosting is complete, shut down the VM, un-assign the old
VHD, alter the config on the new VHD to use disk channel 0 (one previously
used by the old VHD) and power up the VM.

We've done this for some customers who outgrew the original VHD size, and it
works flawlessly. Best part is, it requires no swapping of physical
hardware. :) Disk installations and removals are done with mouse clicks.
