The Virtual Machine Helper service did not respond

Source: microsoft.public.virtualserver
Sent: 07/08/2005
From: "osis" <(email address - cut out)>
Message:

When viewed from the "status" page, virtual machine VM02 shows the
following...
"VM02" Status
General properties "VM02"
When Virtual Server starts: Never automatically turn on virtual machine
When Virtual Server stops: Shut down guest OS

If I then click "general properties" the following is displayed...
General properties "VM02"
When Virtual Server starts: Automatically turn on virtual machine if it was
running when Virtual Server stopped
When Virtual Server stops: Shut down guest OS

The end result is that when the host restarts the virtual machine does not
automatically turn on however, I do want the virtual machine to
automatically turn on as it did in the past.

Currently the "Run virtual machine under the following user account:" check
box is cleared and no username/password is shown. When I check the box and
try to add the username (that was working in the past) the following error
occurs...
"The account name and password could not be set. The virtual machine account
could not be set. The Virtual Machine Helper service did not respond."

The Virtual Machine Helper service is running and I know that the username
and password are correct. If the username or password is wrong then the
error message is...
"The account name and password could not be set. The virtual machine account
could not be set. The account name and password are invalid."

How can I configure "When Virtual Server starts: Automatically turn on
virtual machine if it was running when Virtual Server stopped" for this VM?

Thanks
