I am trying to use the VSMT tools to create a Virtual Server image of a
Windows 2000 machine running on a DL 360 G1. I get as far as the PXE boot
using a RDISK floppy, but the remote boot fails creating the RAMDISK, and I
get the following error in the event log on the server running ADS:

The device ACPIAPIC_UP was not found in the repository
{e597073d-bca9-4935-8257-25530a5677d0}. Please ensure that you have
configured the repository correctly and that the inf directories contain an
..inf file that describes this device.

I am new to ADS & VSMT, so I don't really know what to do next. I have
updated the DL 360"s BIOS to the latest available from HP, but that didn't
seem to help. Any help or guidance would be appreciated!

Bob,

You need to add the ACPIAPIC_UP driver files to the directory "c:\program
files\microsoft ADS\nbs\repository\user\presystem" assuming the ADS is
installed on your C: Drive. Placing windows 2003 driver files in here allows
ADS to use the when creating the boot environment. You may also need the
hotfixs discribed in KB829053 & KB830413 as when I first tried this the files
were not recognised even when placed in the correct directory. Another hotfix
I also needed once I got to the restore stage was KB875533 so it may be worth
looking at that also.
