Virtual infrastructure...

Hello All,

This may be an unusual request, but I am wondering if there is any software
that anyone here may know of that will allow one to create virtual switches
and routers, like Cisco devices. I have been creating various network
configurations with Virtual PC/Virtual Server/Hyper-V, including standing up
virtual servers that only do routing. But when it comes to experimenting
with remote sites (Active Directory) that may or may not have a "Reliable"
connection (<10MB/s), I have no way of simulating this
environment/situation. It would be nice to have virtual devices to simulate
LAN/WAN scenarios, such as throttling down the connection between two points
to simulate low bandwidth.

Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.
