One RAID Volume for all VM"s or 1:1 for each?

Should I create one large ~1TB RAID Volume (across all 14 drives in a RAID 50
array) for all my guest VM's? Or should I rather create multiple RAID
volumes, separate for each VM (also across all 14 drives in a RAID 50 array)?

This is my first Server 2008 w/Hyper-V installation and will be on a very
large array of direct attached disk (15 disks in a RAID 50 + Hot Spare)
configuration until next year, when I can afford some iSCSI DAS/iSCSI SAN
solution.

When working with EMC's Symmetix, we would vreate a volume per VM. It made
sense in a (super) large environment like the Symmetrix DMX. What about my
single external drive enclosure with only one server attached?

Personally, I'd use a single array. Create fixed VHD files, of course.
There's really no gain to splitting up into separate volumes, and the
performance difference between fixed size VHD and direct to disk is minimal,
while the flexibility and recovery with VHDs as opposed to direct to disk is
substantial.
