A few of our Windows 2003 VM servers are producing this below error daily.
I found this article that fixes the issue but I am not sure if this is
something we can apply to VMs. If not has anyone had this problem and
resolved it in another way?

Here's the error:

EVENT # 317700
EVENT LOG Application
EVENT TYPE Error
SOURCE Userenv
EVENT ID 1054
USERNAME NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
COMPUTERNAME W2K3SRV1
DATE / TIME 4/9/2009 6:23:12 PM
MESSAGE Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your computer
network. (An unexpected network error occurred. ). Group Policy processing
aborted.
