unc paths / folder sharing in virtual server

Hello there,

Virtual Server 2005 R2 SP1

I have Installed Windows Server 2003, SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server
2005 onto the Virtual Server. I'm only using these applications and
intend to use for testing purposes. I've got to a point where I need
to refer to a folder on the C: of the Virtual Hard Drive using a UNC
path (from within the Virtual Server), which should be simple..
However I'm having problems when attempting to connect to the C drive
as \\MachineName\C$

I get this error:

\\MachineName\C$ is not accessible. You might not have permission to
use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to
find out if you have access permissions.

The network location cannot be reached. For information about network
troubleshooting, see Windows Help.

I am using the Administrator account so there shouldn't be any
problmes here. I haven't changed any of the settings for Windows
Server, and have used the default settings on the installation (so I
am part of the WORKGROUP workgroup). Does anyone have any
suggestions, or any pointers about what I should be researching next.
I have run out of ideas for things to search for on Google!

Cheers
