VM disappears

Message:

I have a 2003 R2 host server running a virtual DC. Every monday morning, the
host machine reboots. Whenever it does, the virtual machine disappears. I
recreate the virtual machine but I always get the error that the
configuration I'm setting up already exists but I cannot attach the
previously created machine. I have to create a new vm and point it to the
existing hard drive.

I've demoted the dc, removed the vm, unistalled virtual server and IIS, then
reinstalled all. Same thing happens the following Monday. There is nothing in
the event log that would explain what is happening.

I have about 120 other sites with this same configuration and none of the
rest do this. I am getting extremely annoyed with this.

Any ideas?
