2 Differencing Disk one parent disk same time for running two mach

Source: microsoft.public.virtualserver
Sent: 03/04/2008
From: virtualbox
Message:

I have one parent disk in a shared folder. Made it read only. Created
Differencing disk #1 and then created Virtual machine #1 and started it.
Installed some software on it and shut it down. Copied the differencing disk
to some other folder and so I have my Differencing disk #2. Used it to create
Virtual machine #2.

Booted up both Virtual machine #1 and #2. Changed machine names and rebooted.

Everything looks fine. Is there something wrong in my process?

The reason I copied the the differencing disks was that I have to deliver
virtual machines to developers with the daily build of software every day. So
I install the daily build on the differencing disk and developers can just
copy the differencing disk instead of the whole disk. Is there some other way
I can deliver the daily build in a virtual machine format?
