Renaming VM Deletes Undo Disks - What Else Does?

Source: microsoft.public.virtualserver

Message:

I just renamed a VM and was surprised to find that the undo disk was also
deleted. This makes me wonder - what else can surprise me this way? I
believe I've seen undo disks vanish when I've inadvertently started a VM and
then stopped it; what else can do this?
