The process called outsourcing is the transfer of the control of a
certain business process to a business process outsourcing firm. This
BPO, as it is called specializes in taking over a certain business
process and training its employees in the handling of the process than
effectively handling the process for the client. The process of
outsourcing usually means economic betterment for the firm that is
outsourcing the process as the company taking on the process can
handle it more efficiently and at a lower cost. The fact about
strategic outsourcing is that the core competencies of the company are
never outsourced. No process that is directly related to the
business's financial gain is ever outsourced.

A company will, or may decide to outsource a strategic process to a
BPO. This is called a strategic process because the BPO cannot
infringe on the financial profits of the principal company. Strategic
outsourcing can only help the business gain efficiency and gain
financially as at the same time improve quality of service or goods.
Strategic outsourcing can be further defined as giving up complete
control of a business process or a product to an outsider firm. The
benefits to the company are increased revenue savings and greater
efficiency.
