I was considering running VMM on one virtual server instance.. is this
a bad idea ?

Right now we appear to be poised to have 6 virtual servers.. running
on 2 different hosts (4 on one box, 2 on the other).

The box is a quad core x 2 2.33ghz xeon 5400x, with 8gb memory.. raid5
600gb array, raid10 400gb array.. i was going to split the 4 on this
box over both arrays, 2 on each.

So we have 2 hosts.. 6 VS's.. Would it be ok to virtualize the VMM
2007 with its database and everything included under that VS?

This server also acts as a file server and a great plains dynamics
server (sql 2005).. total users in the environment is 40, but
simultaneous hits on these DB's is probably about 5-10 at a time i
bet.

***as a subnote.. i was going to virtualize our trend micro antivirus
SMB server setup, as well as the System Center CM 2007 setup, the LCS
2007 setup, the LCS edge server and another VS as a DC/GC/DNS/DHCP..

I'd pick 4 of the 6 or 7 to put on this box.. I wasnt going to create
virtual C D E for the databases inside them, i figured i'd just have
one VHD for each role.. rather than creating seperate ones.

Thanks for any input.
