Oddball networking problem

Message:

I have a virtual machine set up specifically to run Tadiran Coral View
Designer. I had some issues with the HASP driver (known issue in MS
VS), but I was able to work around that. Now the problem is network
communication. The application is configured to communicate with the
interace card on port 10010, but I can't establish a connection. To
troublshoot, I have tried to connect via telnet on port 10010, and
also on 9999 which is the administrative port for the ethernet
interface of the card. I can't connect using either. I can connect on
either port from the Host OS. I can also telnet on port 25 to my mail
server with no problem from the guest OS. I have done a netstat -a
from the guest OS, and none of the ports I need are in use. The crazy
thing is, everything worked last week, so it HAS worked in the past.
Nothing to my knowlege has been changed in the meantime.
