I may be in the wrong forum, but this is the closest one I could find that
might handle my question. I've installed MS Virtual PC 2007. I've installed
Vista as a guest OS. I've also installed Virtual Machine Additions, so that I
can access the other partitions on my hard drive from my guest OS.

However, I have not been able to figure out how to access my USB flash drive
from the guest OS. And, more generally, I haven't found any doc on exactly
what Virtual Machine Additions can do for me, or how to use it. Any help
would be appreciated.

USB system is not virtualized, as Colin said: share the folder you want to
access (USB Drive), then go to guest OS and type at run: \\HOST_OS_IP it
will ask for credentials, give username and password then you can access
shared folder.

Sure, go to Start, Run, type CMD and press Enter.

A command prompt window will open, type IPCONFIG and Enter, you will get
something like this:

IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 10.0.0.101

then at your guest OS you can type at RUN: \\10.0.0.101 and press enter
