Is SQL supported in Virtual Server?

If Microsoft does support SQL on Virtual Server, what about on VMware?

SQL Server is definitely supported to run in a VM on Virtual Server, but you
need to make sure that you have properly sized the physical server that will
host the VM or else you may run into disk I/O issues if there is heave access
to the databases.
