Hi

We have a new server with 8Gb RAM, and I've just installed Windows 2003
Enterprise Edition.
I read at TechNet that we need to set the /PAE switch in the boot.ini file
to use more than 4Gb RAM. But the General tab in System Properties window
already shows me 8Gb of RAM and "Physical Address Extension" on the last
line. I didn't changed the boot.ini file.

Do I really need to set the /PAE switch?

You might want to consider using the 64 bit version of Windows Server 2003
and Virtual Server, if the processor in the server is 64 bit capable (most
processors in servers delivered over the last couple of years are).

I suspect you will find that the performance is better.
