What are the rule-of-thumb memory requirements for a Virtual Server 2005
host, not counting the Virtual machines?

EG I imagine you would want to have 512 Mb of physical memory, plus 128 Mb
per VM, plus the full amount of memory required for each VM? Or more than
this generally required?

host server OS itself). 512mb can't hurt.

The minimum requirement for each guest server depends on the server. That
varies from NT4 Server on up, plus minimum requirements for server
applications, such as BizTalk, etc. In other words, you have to do the
math.

You would not need 128mb per vm PLUS the memory requirement for each vm.
You would just need the memory requirement for each vm according to its
configuration.
