Configuration of Host Physical Adapters

Source: microsoft.public.virtualserver
Sent: 12/12/2006

Message:

I have a VS ( Host OS 2003) and 2 VMs. 1 for application #1 and the other for
application #2.
I have installed 3 network adapter cards and want each OS to run through
it's own NIC and onto the same physical LAN segment.
Q1. Can I do this ?

Q2. I am extremely confused with the explanations given for the Local Area
Connection Properties window, regarding the Virtual Services Tick box. I
understand that I remove the tick for say NIC #1 and then the Base OS can use
this alone.
However, I have no IDEA what to do with this setting for NICs #2 and #3?

Q3. How can I decide what to do with the tick boxes for
Virtual Server and the other ones e.g. TCP/IP etc

If I remove the TCP/IP settings, then how do the VMs talk to other devices
on the LAN?

I cannot find any information to clarify this. It's all confusing!
