Sound emulation

OK. So I understand that VM does not "normally" support sound
emulation with MS Virtual Server 005 but.... I have the following
issues:

1. I have a single server box that my client currently uses which is
supporting a dial-in voice answering software package. It currently
runs Windows 2k3 SBS and needs to support Terminal services for remote
access of said files.

2. Terminal services are required on this box due to the client-side
application which tracks workflow via the %userpfrofile% string and, in
order to ensure no duplicate work, can only track actual workflow if
all users share the same directory. I.E. when user 1 logs in to work,
tempfile1 is copied to c:\documents and settings\user1\local
settings\temp but user 2 can open the same file if they open a seperate
instance of the program... it will put said file in the userprofile
temp folder on the local client .... the workaround, at this point, has
been to have all users login to multiple terminal services sessions, as
the same user account, and, therefore, track the work as if one user is
working (transparent to the client app)

Best solution I could come up with WAS VM until I read this audio
thread. Now, I'm not sure. Its looking like the best option is to
offload the voicemail app to a PC, rebuild said server with MS win2k3
standard, and then move the Voicemail app back to said server. Talk
about a pain in my buttocks. Does anyone have any possible solutions?

Or.. is there a slim chance that MS has implemented audio into their
server support for VM?

O... I neglected to mention, the TS client app is an audio playback app
for the voicemail.

Any possible solutions are greatly appreciated. I am even considering
setting up multiple VMs running VirtualPC and attempting to use a
single Virtual Drive, shared amongst the 10 VPCs, but I'm not sure
sure that will be stable.

thanks for your time.

Fillip
