I need to do some testing of the 64 bit version of a MS software and I do
not have a machine with a 64 bit CPU

Is it possible to start a 64 bit virtual server (windows 2003) on Virtual PC
/ Virtuel Server:
- On a 32 bit server?
- On a 64 bit server?
- Should I use virtual PC or Virtual Server?
- If the answer is no is the beta of virtual PC 2007 an option?

The answers are currently No with all available Microsoft software.

1. You need a 64-bit CPU to run x64 Guests

2. Currently none of the available Microsoft virtualization products
support x64 guests including Virtual Server 2005 R2 and VPC 2007 beta.

There are other virtualization products that support x64 on 64-bit
hardware with either a 32- or 64-bit host OS.
