Nvidia nforce network controller and vs2005 R2

Hello,
I have an HP XW9300 Workstation running windows XP that has an integrated
Nvidia nforce network controller. I can install VS2005, administer it using
the web administrator. I cannot get any network connection, I get the error -

Virtual Server could not open its emulated Ethernet switch driver. To fix
this problem, re-enable the Virtual Server Emulated Ethernet Switch service
on one or more Ethernet adapters or reinstall Virtual Server.

when the admin starts. Also in the network configure screen I get -

The virtual networkâ€™s configuration information could not be retrieved.
Microsoft Virtual Server could not complete the operation due to an
unexpected error (0x80004005).

when trying to configure it. The NIC also does not show up in the drop down
box when trying to configure a virtual network.

I have not been able to find any info on how to set up this NIC to work with
VS2005.

Can anyone help??
