I'm running VS2005 R2 x64 Edition.

I started a VM and configured it to boot from PXE(wanted to try out WDS...).
After I select an Image for download the system is loading the file - but
the VM consumes
100% CPU...

Is this a known issue? Or am I doing something wrong here?

Win9x, etc) the VM will show 100% usage. With Win9x OSes, the
solution is to install the VM Additions. With DOS and the like, there
is a TSR called idle.com that does this. Unfortunately, since PXE
isn't loading an OS, it's going to spike to 100%, the same way a new
VM does when it's waiting at the "Insert CD and reboot" prompt.

Try imposing a CPU resource limit on all your guests so they play nicely
with each other and/or the host.

And after booting, the VM uses 100% Cpu the whole time - so installation of

My CPU was spiking heavily, so you can expect there to be delays, even with

you can install the VMAdditions after initial reboot.
