IIS web service fails, VM fails, weird issue

Message:

1.) recently on W2K3R2 SP1 server running Virt Server 2005 R2 SE we were fine
for a while, now, VMs occasionally fail, found out that the 'world wide web
publishing service' is stopped and a restart of it and get into IIS admin and
start the virt server site, then the VM is functional again, I had thought
that IIS was only there for admin purposes and can't see what Virt Server
services need it running for, what is strange is the VM is none the wiser, to
it there were no problems and it was running fin the whole time, no event
viewer messages from VM at all, and uptime is as if nothing happened

2.) we do get the following event viewer message from the Virt Server host
but I can find no mention of this error anywhere on web
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: Virtual Server
Event Category: Virtual Machine
Event ID: 1034
Date: 9/10/2006
Time: 7:01:40 AM
User: user
Computer: computer
Description:
"virtmachine1" may be crashed as it has not responded recently.
