Our QA team is going to use Microsoft virtual server for performace testing
of an clustered web applcation... and currently the the same virtual server
have about 30 more virtual server....

what would be the implication on this and is it adviceable to use virtual
server in performance testing...

Virtualization means paying a small performance penalty. If you have 30 more
virtual servers on the same hardware means paying a big penalty.
So it would not be advisable to use it for performance testing.

We have highend HP hardware for out server.... my concern is would a problem
in another virtual server would affact any of the performance test servers ?

and it would be very helpful if u can point out some resouces that i could

I have expwerienced that a problem in a virtual server affected my host. So
to that respect I can say that yes, a problem in a virtual machine could
affect another virtual machine. Chances however are slim as it depends
entirely on the probloem the other virtual machine is experiencing.

There are not a lot of resources avialable, but I guess you know this else
you would have found them already :)
One resource to defintely check is http://blogs.msdn.com/virtual_pc_guy
He has at least one article on maximizing your VM's performance.
