SCVMM install fails. Hardware Managment 3rd party IPMI problem

Hi.

A prereq to installing VCSMM is to have the R2 Hardware Manager intalled. I
am on a two year old Dell 2600, and the installation fails saying that "An
IPMI device has been registered with the system BIOS; all 3rd party IPMI
drivers must be removed prior to installation to prevent system
instability......"

and another message

"Failed to configure the WS-Management service. Refer to the FAQ for more
infomration"

The FAQ does not have an answer.

Is it possible that Dell has some IPMI thing installed into the BIOS? Has
anybody else ever encountered this problem, and how did you work around it?

Thanks,

Mark
