Moving physical Win2K server to VM. Help!

I have the last system I need to virtualize. Every other one worked just
fine, since those were Win2K3 systems, so Acronis Universal Restore worked.

This system is Win2K Advanced. I imaged the drive (which is on Win2K
mirroring software RAID1) and with Ghost and with Acronis, but once I try to
boot from the VM created after restoring onto VM, I get blue screen of death
right away.

Is there a faster and easier way to do it? Any tools that are not too
expensive and are at least intuitive, unlike the native Microsoft VMRT tool?

I've had this issue with W2K as well. My solution was to build a 'blank'
W2K virtual machine (just a default install - but SP'd to the same level as
the physical), backup the physical machine to a file somewhere on your
network using NTBackup, then using NTBackup, restore the whole lot back to
the virtual machine. Reboot virtual, and, hey presto, a working machine.
Then install VMAdditions.

It's basically Disaster Recovery of a machine to virtual, but it worked for
me.

Sorry - forgot to mention - create the VM with IDE disks. Then after
VMAdditions is installed, change to SCSI for better performance.

I'm recommend for a p2v Migration to use the tool VSMT from Microsoft.
It is not a easy solution but it is complete supportet.
