i really screwed up, fixable?

Anyone feel like a real challenge?

I took a class on Sharepoint a while ago and thought I'd just install a
couple virtual servers on my laptop for a DC and and a MOSS server. I don't
know anything about networking but managed to get to virtual servers going.
Then I didn't touch it for months. I realized the other day the servers are
running and tried to login to the web administration but my (admin!)
credentials don't work. I tried a variety of things to no avail.

I read about switching app pools on a thread and tried that but there didn't
seem to be any options. And that's when I did something bad, real bad. I
ran the permissions wizard on the virtual server directory in my IIS (public
site). Now instead of not authenticating the admin website returns a bunch of
garble with "This program cannot be run in DOS mode." towards the top.

I tried changing the permission to secure site via the wizard. Didn't help.

I know, I'm an idiot. It's bad. All I want it to uninstall the Virtual
Servers and Virtual Server software. Can it be done or is it time for me to
wipe my hard drive and start over???
