Howdie!

Assuming that you mean the System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM)
when talking about VMM, yes, SCVMM is a kind of successor of VSDM that
provides a lot more and sophisticated functionality.

And perhaps you can write a bit more detailed in future, since VMM is
refered as the Virtual Machine Monitor, that is the todays
virtualization layer driver in VPC and VS.
