I am trying to get internet access to work for Vista 5536 with Windows XP as
the host in Virtual Server 2005 R2.

I have tried my primary network card and internal network, but in Vista, the
Networking area shows no internet access.

With VMWare this wasn't so hard, but since VMWare has a video problem, I am
trying Virtual Server.

Any tips on configuration of network access for Vista in Virtual Server
under Windows XP.

We need a bit more information like what is your host NIC, how do you
connect to the internet, how are you setting things in the VM, have you
tried any other OS's and do they work or not, things like that.

5536 does work with Virtual Sever networking, so it's not a general VS
problem, and it should be set to your primary network.

I've heard of others having problems with Boardcom adapters, but I don't
know any specifics.

Vista doesn't support the kind of sound card that VPC emulates, so the only
way to get sound is by connecting via remote desktop.

VPC 2007 is supposed to support sound with Vista when it comes out.
