VS2005 R2 and opteron dual-core

Hi

This is something that has been discussed before, but that I'm now getting
at bit confused about. I have a HP DL385 with at Opteron Dual-Core
processor. On the "Server properties" in Virtual Server R2 it shows as

Physical Computer Properties

Processors
Physical processors: 1
Logical processors: 2
Processor speed: 2.4 GHz
Processor type: AMD AuthenticAMD
Processor version: x86 F15 M1 S2
Processor features: MMX, SSE3, 3DNow!, x86-64

But when I go to "Ressource Allocation" and reserve say 50% of one CPU to a
virtual machine, it shows that I reserved 50% of system. So from what I can
see, VS only uses one core of the processor.

Several has stated that it should use both cores. What is wrong?

If I load the cpu on one of the virtual machines I would expect one core to
go to 100% CPU, but I don't. The load is spread across the cores, and I
don't get the performance I expect on the one virtual machine.

Regards,

Ka
