Deployment fails

Source: microsoft.public.virtualserver
Sent: 08/30/2006
From: "Andrew Prior" <(email address - cut out)>
Message:

I have virtualised a server (win 2003) and have the disk images on the ADS
server, which is also the virtual host. On running deploy I get the boot
starting but if freezes at the grey screen
"Windows Automated Deployment Services
Deployment Agent Version 1.11"

The last thing it says is
"Deployment agent status
Connected [192.168.100.88]: Valid BMCP message received at 15:31:53

The event logs on the ADS machine say
Failed to connect to the device (device name: sql, IP address:
192.168.100.50): A connection attempt failed because the connected party did
not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection
failed because connected host has failed to respond.

Any ideas?

Where should the vitual network adaptors be connected?

I have 2 virtual network adapters installed
Virtual network adapter 1 Connected to "External Network (SURECOM EP-320X-R
100_10_M PCI Adapter)"
Current Ethernet (MAC) address: D2-6C-D2-7E-90-AD
Virtual network adapter 2 Connected to "VM0"
Current Ethernet (MAC) address: 00-02-44-9C-1F-69

I have turned off the DHCP server on the virutal network.

Andrew
