If upon renaming a machine to a formerly used name you encounter that
error, I suggest you to rename the culprit files located on
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Virtual
Server\Virtual Machines

There seems to be an inconsistency in the way virtual server keep those
shortcuts updated, as they might keep references to removed virtual
machines.
