Virtual Server 2005 R2 on XP Pro SP2

Message:

I just downloaded and installed Virtual Server 2005 R2 on my on XP Pro
SP2 workstation (IIS was already installed and running). This machine
is running in a 2003 Domain and my username has full administrative
control of the computer and the domain. I left all of the options that
could be changed during the installation at their default settings.

The installation appeared to go smoothly and when the summary page
popped up I clicked on the link that would take me to the
administration page.

At the top of the administration page the following error showed up in
red:
"Could not connect to Virtual Server. Access was denied. You can
specify an alternate Virtual Server below."

I immediately looked up this error and found a couple pages discussing
similar problems:
* http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=891609
* http://www.mcse.ms/archive235-2004-12-1269439.html

Neither of these suggestions resolved the error. Has anybody else had a
similar problem? Any solutions?
