Lost Admin Access and Host Machine Access

Source: microsoft.public.virtualserver

Message:

Hi I have VS running on a quad xenon machine with 13Gb ram. Host OS is
Windows 2003 x64.

I have 8 VMs running great under VS each with 1 GB ram allocated to them
This morning I trimed three of them down to 512 meg of ram and allocated 3 Gb
of ram to one VM. This left 3.5 GB for the host OS.

This seemded to work fine and all the guest VM started and were working
normaly. About an hour later I tried to access the Admin website remotely and
it would not come up. I tried it from the host os console and it locked up
the Host. Not even CTR ALT Del is responding on the host. Rdp to the host os
is also not responding.
This VMs are still running fine and I can connect to them individualy Via RDP.

Unless someone has an idea how to gain access back to the Host OS I plan on
accessing each VM via rdp and shutting them down and then powering down the
Host Computer. I have had this Vs up and running for about three weeks and
have never shut it down. According to the documenation microsoft recomends
the invivual services for VS be stopped befor shutting down the host. Am I
going to have possible VM corruption if I shut down each and then power down
the host with out stoping the services?

Thanks any comments or sugestions would be much apreciated.
