I get the following message in red type:

The following error occurred:
The virtual machine could not be started. The virtual machine could not
be started. An unexpected error occurred.

The double sentence is quoted from the original.
There is no corresponding entry in the event log.
I tried uninstalling and reinstallaing - no luck.
