I am trying to install windows XP, however, my disk apparently isn't
bootable because it never installs. When I start VP6 it says OS Not
Found Install an OS on this hard drive. However, my XP OS is in my
computer but I can't get it to start.

Please help.

It is from another computer. It doesn't include a boot file, if that's
even necessary. But when I put it into my mac, the virtual pc does not

version of Windows. These are only licensed to work with the computer
it came with and usually have built-in mechanisms to prevent the
installation on a different computer.

If it doesn't have a boot file, then it cannot boot any computer, including
the virtual computer you have set up on your Mac.

It is a valid Windows CD, it just will not boot. I wanted to double
check this by downloaded a free version of Linux and DOS and both also
say the same thing. "OS not Found, Install an OS on this hard drive. So
I am clearly not doing something right, or my VPC is not working
correctly. Please help.
